چکیده
Prospection of the endosphere native plant Fragaria chiloensis subsp. f. patagonica from foothills Chilean Andes led to isolation two strains genus Coniochaeta. We addressed taxonomic placement these based on DNA sequencing data using ITS and LSU genetic markers, morphological features, biochemical traits. One was identified as Coniochaeta hansenii, for which anamorph teleomorph states were described. The second strain did not seem match any currently described species this genus; therefore, we propose name fragariicola sp. nov.

New features in the genus Ilarvirus revealed by the nucleotide sequence of Fragaria chiloensis latent virus.
Fragaria chiloensis latent virus (FClLV), a member of the genus Ilarvirus was first identified in the early 1990s. Double-stranded RNA was extracted from FClLV infected plants and cloned. The complete nucleotide sequence of the virus has been elucidated. RNA 1 encodes a protein with methyltransferase and helicase enzymatic motifs while RNA 2 encodes the viral RNA dependent RNA polymerase and an...

A new species of Astragalus is described: Astragalus barnasariformis sp. nov., Maassoumi, F. Ghahrem. & Bagheri. It is endemic to Zanjan province in northwestern Iran. Morphological evidence supports taxonomic placement of the new species in Astragalus sect. Trachycercis. The species appears to be most closely related to A. barnasari Grossh. and A. chalilovii.
متن کاملIdentification of volatile compounds associated with the aroma of white strawberries (Fragaria chiloensis).
BACKGROUND Fragaria chiloensis (L.) Mill spp. chiloensis form chiloensis, is a strawberry that produces white fruits with unique aromas. This species, endemic to Chile, is one of the progenitors of Fragaria x ananassa Duch. In order to identify the volatile compounds that might be responsible for aroma, these were extracted, and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), gas chro...
متن کاملVegetative propagation of Grindelia chiloensis (Asteraceae)
Grindelia chiloensis (Asteraceae) is a shrub native to Patagonia, Argentina, in the process of domestication as a source of resin to complement rosin production by pines. Vegetative propagation to multiply selected genotypes has produced breakthroughs in the cultivation of new crops like jojoba (Simmondsia chinesis). The only available way to propagate Grindelia is by transplanting seedlings or...
